Disability is complex, multifaceted, intersectional, and fascinating. I have been working in the disabilities field since college, beginning as a camp counselor and later running supported living programs for adults with developmental disabilities. I worked in several clinics that specialized in disabilities. I traveled to the capitols of both Washingtons to advocate for policies to improve the lives of people with disabilities.
As a therapist, I have most experience with neurodivergence, including autism, serious mental illness, down syndrome, and other genetic disorders. I also have experience with traumatic brain injuries, blindness, cerebral palsy, and other physical disabilities.
My goal is to help you thrive with your disability, better understand your limitations and gifts, and live the best version of YOUR life possible. As a person with a disability myself, I understand some of the territory and look forward to hearing about your unique situation and perspective.
