See my LinkedIn for specifics on my 20+ year career as a clinician and executive in large integrated healthcare systems. I am now in private practice, as the Executive Director and Principal Therapist at Gemini Clinical Institute, which I founded in 2021. I am currently open to new counseling and consulting clients. Contact me at Gemini to schedule a short free consult call.

I grew up on an island in the Pacific Northwest and now live in a suburb of Seattle. My wife and I have been married for more than twenty years and I love being a girldad (x2). I am in my dad joke era.

I began working in healthcare in 2004 as a residential care aide for people with developmental disabilities, and bring a person-centered approach of respecting dignity and compassion into all of my work. Prior to that, I was a camp counselor for many years, often with special needs kids. My peers nominated me as a “natural helper” in middle school. More recently, I have received awards for my work from the Swedish Medical Staff and the Washington State Society for Clinical Social Work. I am a past governor appointed member of the Washington State Developmental Disabilities Council. I have had many job titles in my life and a few letters after my name, but these days I most identify as a salty social worker. Whether working as a clinician or executive, I have always endeavored to treat every person I encounter with kindness and respect. I love to find out what lights people up and help them bring more of that into their lives. Over twenty years in, I find this curiosity is what sustains me the most.
